Wanted to do a quick thread about how to support your favourite creators now that nazis have ruined ad revenue.
Patreon’s the best. Cold hard cash every month. Just a dollar means a lot - it’s both financial help and massive moral support
If they don’t have a Patreon, tell ‘em you’d pledge if they did! They might be avoiding it because they’re worried they’d get no support
YouTube Red is good. You skip ads, but YT then gives some of your subscription fee to the people whose ads you skipped! It’s quite a bit
Getting more people to view is good. More views means more ad money! So promoting videos on Twitter, Facebook is good
Posting that person’s stuff on Reddit is massively helpful. Reddit’s great for views but creators can’t pimp their own stuff. You can!
And finally some other forms of support: leave nice comments & send nice tweets, hit 👍, be patient, give them the freedom to try new things
