(2) See, Rex, @thomaswictor and others all use open sources, and draw the lines with logic. Seth claims he gets 20+ tips a day from sources and proceeds to spew informational diarrhea all in the hopes of building a case that Trump and his campaign are all evil Russian colluders
(3) Note, however, as the Mueller flipped/Trump 4D chess memetic ideas spread like wildfire, Seth's ideas... do not. No one is drawing the same connections as him. The media/social media personas who are feeding him this shit don't repeat the same conclusions he magically draws.
(4) I'm not tagging the guy into the thread, because I'm not here to start a pissing match with him. Quite frankly, his ideas are not interesting or coherent enough to really debunk on their own merits.
(5) But instead, I want to take the logical pyramids that he and others like him construct, flip them upside down so they're balancing by the capstone, and balance THAT on a champaign glass, and see if I can kick all their theories out from under them with this:
(6) Why would a legit billionaire who hadn't ever served in any political office subject himself to the raw vitriol he's experiencing out of greed? He had a brand name organization, he built up a media presence, he's in his 70's. What did he have to gain by running for president?
(7) All reports are that he's LOST money serving as President. What corruption angle is at play here that wouldn't have been better served not running and just bribing the mayor of New York, who is so corrupt that it was openly flaunted during his campaign?
(8) And he's not consolidating power as President. He's shedding the power of the executive branch nonstop with regulatory slashing, almost all of which doesn't effect him and is being done by his appointees. A dictator he is not by any stretch of the imagination.
(9) Then the Russian angle. Exactly what world is it that Russia is doing BETTER with Trump as president than Clinton? A couple hundred million dollars in Russian jets provided to Syria hit in that missile strike earlier this year should say all you need to know.
(10) Or it could be argued that if Clinton had won we'd be at war with Russia. Soooo liberals suddenly want an armed conflict with the country with the second most powerful nuclear arsenal in the world? REALLY?
(11) The 'muh Russia' narrative that Seth propagates also never seems to mention the fact that the Russians hacked the GOP too, but didn't get nearly as much email-wise and it didn't draw near as much media attention. wired.com/2017/01/russia…
(12) Personally, I think Putin's a shit stirrer, and has been probably behind the scenes pushing to cause as much public discord as possible, because Russia is a shifty fucking enemy.
(13) But someone, tell me exactly WHY Trump would work with the Russians? WHY would he leave the business world and enter politics to lose money and become a pariah if he was going to be dictatorial or corrupt?
(14) See, that's the crux of the problem with Seth's wild connect-the-dots with his secret sources. Why the Fake News is flailing so much. They focus so much on trying to craft the 'how' to fit the 'what', that none of them can explain WHY. /end
