Matthew Thomas "Matt" Shea is a member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing the 4th Legislative District. Matt is the head of the 51st state "movement" that seeks to to split Washington state into 2 states. He is also a member of COWS (thread) 
On Sat 1-20-2018 he hosted a meeting regarding the new 51st state of "Liberty" that he is seeking to form. The meeting was a perfect glimpse into the real vision of the state of Liberty. Yo can view it here:

Shea's vision of a new state is more of a theocracy. He has connection to some interesting folks including a group called the Marble Fellowship Community Church who have been linked in the past to a known Christian Identity minister and simalor teaching.
Shea is also a member of COWS (colulation of Western states) who were active supporters of the Bundy standoffs. Shea also claims to be a "patriot"
This is a perfect example of how these type of groups work. Shea starts by driving a wedge between eastern Washington and Seattle aka "downtown Seattle folks" he repeats this over and over. You would think a politician would strive to bring groups together, but no.
Shea uses a sort of "gas lighting" by telling the audience that they are really smart and then proceeds to lie to them. There is much to criticize with this meeting but I will focus on his claim that Mosque in Spokane is ran by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Shea talks about the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) as a unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism case. He links it link six degrees of Kevin Bacon to the Muslim Brotherhood. A simple google search will give you the facts.
Shea claims to be all ... Go Constitution! But does not seem to care when a muslims rights were infringed. It is used as another way to divide and make themselves feel righteous.
