Britain loses access to European Arrest Warrant and falls back on 1957 rules for extradition from Council of Europe. The COE does not allow extradition of own nationals and has no time limit on extradition requests. 2/
Slides suggest the not yet in force Norway/Iceland agreements which have limited time periods and limited grounds for refusal could be an option. 3/
Conditions for judicial cooperation include respect for European Convention of Fundamantal RIghts and essentially equivalent date protection rules. 4/
Britain loses access to Europol database but can exchange date under certain conditions, as some other non EU countries and Denmark do. 5/
Britain loses access to Passenger Name Records on intra-EU flights but requires PNR from EU carriers coming to Britain. 6/
EU says can use Council of Europe or UN conventions to allow for joint investigation teams, fight against cybercrime and Use Interpol. 7/
During transition, UK Can take part in measures building on existing measures but can't opt in on any entirely new initiatives. And won't have any representation in EU agencies like Europol. 8/
EU appears uncompromising in view that Brexit means Brexit and UK will lose access to much judicial cooperation, despite advantages to both sides in preserving status quo 9/
PNR and European Arrest Warrants were both strongly supported by UK when being created and passed.
