/ The curious timing of Susan Rice's 15-minutes-after "Regret" email. I've puzzled to understand the timing of this - well, let's call it, unusually worded, email ever since I read it. Thomas Wictor's illuminating thread does a masterful job of explaining what Rice was up to.
/ But the timing still didn't make sense - until you recall the events of 9/8/74. On that day, President Gerald Ford granted a Pardon to his predecessor Richard Nixon, for all crimes that he "has committed, or may have have committed or taken part in".
/ Up until 16 minutes before Rice sent that email, Obama had the power to Pardon Susan Rice for the crimes he asked her to commit to - Lie about Benghazi to the American people; the subsequent Cover-up, as well as Unmaskings that Rice participated in. But BO didn't Pardon Rice
/ So just like a Vietnam grunt who's been led into a minefield by his C.O. - and then abandoned, Rice fragged her commander in chief with the "email that will be heard 'round the world".... by lobbing it directly into Obama's tent.
/ Thus the reason for the curious timing of Susan Rice's 15-minutes-after "Regret" email. Rice had been strung along with promises of a Pardon by Obama. When none was produced before Trump took the Oath of Office, Rice got her revenge. Beware a co-conspirator scorned!
