Today is my 43rd birthday. To celebrate, I’m going to visit 43 churches. I started at 7 am, it’s now 9 am. I’ve been to exactly one church. We’ll see how this goes... 
1. St. Peter’s Basilica with confession.
2. Santo Spirito in Sassia. Shrine of Divine Mercy.
3. Sant’Onofrio. Only my second visit here.
4. San Pietro in Montorio. A new to me church! Some say this is actually where Peter was martyred. They are wrong, of course.
5. Santa Maria in Trastevere.
6. San Crisogono. Love this old lady!
7. San Benedetto in Piscinula. A first for me!
8. Santa Cecilia.
9. San Bartolomeo. The tomb of a guy who hung out with Jesus. So cool.
10. Santissima Trinita dei Pellegrini.
11. Santa Maria della Quercia. New to me! Stunning church. I’ve never seen it open before today.
