1) This is stupid. STUPID STUPID STUPID.
2) First, the DJIA has been oscillating up and down since January 26th. Its called a market correction. Investors are still trying to get their bearings after the SKYROCKETING growth from Trump's election.
3) Trump talked protectionism during the campaign. We literally all saw this coming. NO ONE SHOULD BE SURPRISED BY THIS. cnn.com/2016/06/28/pol…
4) The DJIA is STILL 6000 points higher now than it was at at its' peak during Obama's presidency, which didn't even come until 2016. That's right, this 'dip' is still 25% higher than it was under Obama.
5) "They sky is falling! Trade barriers and tariffs!!!!" I know you need to sell headlines, you reactionary weasels. But Christ ALMIGHTY would any of you take the time to actually teach why you have your views on macroeconomics? Or do you just want to kneejerk react?

1) You're assuming Democrats act independently. This is incorrect. I understand why you might think this way, because that's how the GOP behaves, but there's a key difference between the GOP and the Dems.
2) The GOP has a large network of cooperating interest groups that all are moving in the same general direction in terms of candidates that GOP candidates have to interact with.

The Dems filter ALL their campaign donations through political apparatuses managed by party leaders
3) Effectively, this means that if Pelosi, Schumer, or a neoliberal equally high up gives the thumbs down, they turn off the campaign donation spigot for a Democrat overnight.

1) Trump can, but does not want, to declare a national emergency in order to build the wall. It is a very nice position to be in, really, knowing that he can get what he wants one way or the other. But he still wants it to go through congress. Why?
2) Because he wants a Republican congress and senate again after 2020. Right now, he's on track to win 2020. He's an incumbent in a good economy, and right now the markets both like a deadlocked government AND is now immune to the shocks that plagued the Obama shutdowns.
3) But he can't have another round of House and Senate elections like what we saw for 2018. We didn't bleed as much as we could have and even edged out a gain in the Senate, and Trump's name will be on the ballot, but the GOP isn't going to save itself, they're incapable of it.

1) Who’s on the attack? Its a question that’s asked thousands of times every day. Usually its asked as ‘who’s the aggro deck’, when people are playing competitive card games, which is where I learned the concept.
2) Essentially, in a one on one competition, there are two strategies. Offense, and defense. Nice and simple. The offense aggresively goes after their goals, the defense will prevent their opponents from achieving their goals until the defense can achieve its goals.
3) Whoever does best at their strategy, wins.

So what happens when both competitors go into a match intending to be on the offense? What happens when both intend to be on the defense?

That began shortly after 10:41, and took less than 10 minutes. They didn't evacuate all the way down to Paddock's room. For example, the room right next to 32-134 didn't get evacuated until after they breached the suite, because they didn't want to get too close to Paddock's door
It's unclear how many names they wrote down, and if those names were even real names. When they interviewed the security guard who was supposed to be writing down names, he said "Well I got some of 'em." (PDF 9, pg 29) #LasVegasShooting

Has anyone noticed that the estimated completion date and then revisions of that date for both the final IG report and special counsels completion seem closely alligned? 🤔
Remember when both were supposed to be wrapped up in November? Then January? Then Mar/April...now it's MAY, but still no idea?
Do you think the OIG is that bad at estimates, or just keeps unturning stones at the last minute?

I doubt it. Remember this, the IG got the green light to start investigating in January of 2017. He got full power and support upon sessions confirmation in March.

1) Due to the overwhelming support, here is a thread on ramping the power of nuclear reactors!

First, a little background. Operating a nuclear reactor is about balance - you generally want power to stay the same.
2) Fissions are occurring in the reactor, releasing neutrons (2-3 per fission) - and some of those neutrons will cause another fission, but most are captured by other materials or leave the reactor (leakage).
3) In the absolute simplest sense, you want the number of neutrons produced by fission to be the same as the neutrons lost to capture and leakage. We also call this "critical".
