More Leftists need to consider the effectiveness of being the bigger person in the context of discourse with people who don’t have a certain understanding.

Calling people names or leveraging criticisms that aren’t constructive may be cathartic, but one can clearly see that it achieves relatively little when genuinely assessing whose minds are being changed, or the effectiveness of certain methods of Leftist mobilization.
We seek to ridicule & delegitimize public figures (specifically politicians) who we feel *know* they are deceiving or misleading the people in pursuit of profit, but this sort of approach cannot be carried out at the individual level with everyday poor & working class people!
A part of this discussion taps into the reality that we now have a climate where Leftists associate with those of other sociopolitical leanings less for fear of being perceived as less “pure.”

If millions are rallying behind toxic sentiments & causes in America & around the world, then they aren’t hearing the other side, & perhaps they aren’t hearing the other side because the other side doesn’t see them as “worth” approaching.
