I'm going to review Enoch Powell's speech for you. begins:

"The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils. In seeking to do so, it encounters obstacles which are deeply rooted in human nature."

This is just pompous fart gas. It's trivia to the point of necrosis. But you can already sense the impending style of inflated self regard.

"One is that by the very order of things such evils are not demonstrable until they have occurred."

I bet that one took him all day. Christ.

"whence the besetting temptation of all politics to concern itself with the immediate present at the expense of the future."

Only an ignoramus would put the world in such demented form as this.

Here we go.

Oh aye. isn't there always some working class cockle that just happens to come by with identical bigotry to their own?

I won't repeat it, but said working class salt-of-the-earth proceeds to outright racism.
Whether this cockle existed for
real or was just a fevered fantasy in Powell's head doesn't matter.
he approves of that kind of working class racism.

You get the sense that the only kind of working class that Powell approves of is the kind that is prepared to show him due deference.
Racist, certainly, but a lot of other psychological problems in there too, of inadequacy and racial vanity.

Powell refers to this working class hero thus wise:
"Here is a decent, ordinary fellow Englishman, who in broad daylight in my own town says to me, his Member of Parliament, that his country will not be worth living in for his children."

Did Enoch Powell ever study tautology? He's full of it. Apparently the assertion that the country won't be worth living in is proof enough. Why/ Because a working class salt of the earth said it.

So a working class salt is beyond reproach in his bigotries purely because Powell find him politically comfortable.
The intellectual nullity is appalling.

Still talking about our working class salt: "What he is saying, thousands and hundreds of thousands are saying and thinking."

Powell is the kind of upper class ghast that only servile English snobbery would indulge. A racism that he prefers to project onto the working class. A coward and a cunt.

And if you saw what he says next. Jesus. It's primitive blood purity, superstition of the worst disgusting kind. the threat of being somehow "bred out" by over fertile invaders.
