BREAKING: at least 3 dead after a man opened fire in a Waffle House in Antioch. He was naked. A patron wrestled his rifle away from him. Person of interest, Travis Reinking, 29, of IL, still at large. 
Chuck Cordero, 50, works at this Waffle House but was there last night when he was off. He was in the parking lot about to go in when shooter pulled up. "I couldn't run I was so scared. I was crawling on the ground." 4 dead now, 4 wounded.
"He did not say anything. He pulled up, got out of his car and was all business." Witness tells me he fired several rounds from parking lot before entering restaurant around 3:25 a.m.
NEW: Suspected Nashville Waffle House shooter has been on the radar of FBI, local law enforcement out of state. Used assault rifle and had extra ammunition in his jacket, the only thing he was wearing.
3 helicopters circling overhead. Dogs tracked suspected shooter to a cluster of powerlines nearby. Cops say he lived in nearby apartment complex. "Why he is in Nashville and what prompted this this morning has not been determined."
I know one of the helicopters is definitely @MNPDNashville. Not sure if the other two are TV or who is operating those.
NEW: Photo of the rifle used by suspect who walked into a Nashville Waffle House naked and opened fire, killing 4 and wounding 7.
One of the bodies was just moved out of the Waffle House. Two people were fatally shot in the parking lot and two more inside the restaurant. It sounds like 7 others were injured.

Cordero has clarified that he is not a Waffle House employee, but comes to this restaurant while he's working nights on his roadside assistance job and knows the employees.

As police continue a manhunt for the suspect in this morning's mass shooting, they're paying "close attention to churches in the area." It hits particularly close to home for nearby Burnette Chapel, which was targeted by a shooter in September. tennessean.com/story/news/201…
Some SWAT guys approached suspect's apartment, used a speaker to call him out and then there was a loud bang I could hear a mile away down the street. I'm at the suspect's complex now but can't get back to see what's going on.
The SWAT group just walked away from the apartment. Still no update on location of suspect or whether they're going back.
Dion Jones was driving for Uber when a passenger told him about the Waffle House shooting, where he goes a lot at night and knows employees. It wasn't until later he realized the suspected shooter lived in the apartment building next to him.
Bomb squad and SWAT have cleared the scene of suspect''s apartment. Appears he is not there. There's a news briefing in an hour, hopefully with updates. I need to dry off for a few.

JUST IN: Police identify victims killed in this morning's Waffle House shooting as Taurean Sanderlin, 29 (employee); and patrons Joe Perez, 20; Akilah Dasilva, 23; and a 21-year-old woman whose family hasn't been notified.
NEW INFO about suspected shooter: Travis Reinking was arrested by Secret Service in July for being in restricted area of White House. AR-15 used today had been seized after that, but IL law enforcement returned it to his father who gave it back to Reinking.
Police say they found 2 ammunition magazines in Travis Reinking's jacket that he shed as he fled the Waffle House. He used an AR-15. "He clearly came armed with a lot of firepower intending to devastate the south Nashville area."
Nashville @MayorBriley calls for increased gun control for assault weapons. "It's been only 7 months since we had another mass shooting here in Nashville, and that is far too frequent."
Hero James Shaw Jr. who wrestled gun is now talking. He first went to another Antioch Waffle House first but it was crowded, so his friends moved to Murfreesboro Pike one.
FBI SAC from Nashville to Shaw: "You're owed a great deal of thanks by everyone in this room and everyone in this community."
UPDATE: Secret Service says Travis Reinking was trying to set up a meeting with President Trump in July when he was arrested outside the White House for unlawful entry.
In addition to AR-15 used in shooting, cops recovered another rifle and a long gun from Reinking's apartment. He could have a handgun with him now. "He's murdered four times with no apparent reason and no apparent motive, so we're very concerned," said @MNPDNashville chief.
Across the Antioch area, @MNPDNashville is going House to house checking on residents and looking for shooter. An officer said they got a report of a man walking through a construction site off Saddlecreek Way, but not necessarily fitting suspect's description.
NEW: According to police in IL, Reinking's dad assured law enforcement he'd keep his son's guns secure when deputies came to seize them due to Reinking's state gun ID being revoked/his poor mental health. He gave them back to his son.
