Good morning and welcome to #customerservicetuesday with @csprefects.
Our topic today is "How to encourage/ motivate your employees”
If you own a company/business this is for you.
Thread 👇🏾
Customer service is the key. In order for it to be effective ,it is essential for every business owner to find ways to motivate its staff. This is because your employees represent you &if for any reason they aren’t happy, it will reflect in their attitude towards customers.
There are several ways to motivate your staff.
1. Communicate with respect.
Talking down on your staff creates resentments. It is unfair to make employees feel like they are beneath you.
2. Pay them what they are worth.
Be sure that their pay is consistent with what other companies in your industry and geographic area are paying. Do not shortchange them.

3. Be an example.
The change that we want begins with us. So be a perfect example that they can emulate.
4. Provide them with a pleasant place to work.
Everyone wants to work in an office environment that is clean and stimulating, and that makes them feel good instead of bad. You don't have to spend a lot of money to make an office a more pleasant place to be.
5. Offer opportunities for self-development.
The members of your team will be more valuable to your organization, and to themselves, when they have opportunities to learn new skills. Provide your team with the training they need to advance in their careers.
6. Encourage happiness
Happy employees are enthusiastic and positive members of the team, and this reflects greatly in productivity. Keep an eye on whether or not your people are happy with their work, the company and you.
7. Provide incentive.
This encourages employees in more ways that you could imagine.

8. Involve them in decision making.
This fosters togetherness. It makes them feel like they are an integral part of the organisation.
9. Don’t micromanage them.
Give them space to do their job.

10. Don't punish failure
It's part of being human. The key is to learn valuable lessons from those mistakes so we don't make them again. Don’t punish, instead, encourage them to try again.
Thank you for reading and hope to see you again next week Tuesday.
