Someone said people need not look up to others & should think for themselves. Why then do we need Coaches? The world’s greatest have them. We’re created for impact & influence remember? Nothing makes you disciplined in the art than having a sincere mirror that prompts and guides.
There many people out here I look up to. We all have our days when nothing makes sense. A time when we feel deflated and depressed sometimes for no reason. For people who think lack & poverty are the only cause of depression please think again. The rich also cry.
I’ve been very fascinated with neurological sciences since I was a teenager and have come to find that our moods and lives are countrolled by chemical secretions in the brain. Dopamine, Seretonin, Oxytocin, Noradrenaline and Adrenaline. These chemicals are what the drugs control.
Excessive secretion of Dopamine can plunge you into schizophrenia, this might not even be drug abuse induced but sometimes can be triggered by the inability to manage expectations, loss of confidence and paranoia (apprehension & faulty perception).
Likewise a plunge in secretion of dopamine can trigger unnecessary anxiety. Meanwhile a healthy flow Of serotonin makes you happy. Good news, entertainment, jokes, adventures, reading good books that help your imagination flourish. 
What then makes us depressed? A simultaneous plunge in the secretion of dopamine and serotonin. These chemicals rule our lives. We love when dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin are at optimum level. Which explains why we can be irrationally emotional at this point logic wise.
When something tragic happens causing us to fear for our lives Noradrenaline and Adrenaline get injected excessively into the brain causing your heart to pump/beat faster in preparedness for fight or flight. In other words it relegates us to our primal self for survival.
Authorities play on this by resorting to rule by fear which make citizens to fear for their lives and embrace/justify a life unfit for Cattle. Just like those who say pinning a removable name tag on the shirt of SARS is a Reform. This is the chemicals speaking not reason.
As beings, these are the things we will find were there a settings knob somewhere in our body. We actually can get to know ourselves & understand that the people we share humanity with are as complex as we are. Words do trigger these mood swings thus Emotional Intelligence is Key
We can tease each other, share jokes and even argue on matters. The interesting thing here is that we have more in common than our differences. We all want a great, prosperous nation where equity, fairness, justice and righteousness reign supreme. That’s a start.
Within that dream, the aspect we often forget to highlight is our individual roles towards achieving that goal. We are all important. We are all Distinguished. We all deserved to be heard. No idea is stupid. I may have a perspective or angle but there are 359 other possibilities.
Don’t feel small while watching other people exhibit their gifts, talents and skills. They are only showing you the product of their religious commitment to practice as perfected. You have something too that you are proficient in. Whatever you do that makes time fly may be it.
There is no such thing as superiority but overbloated ego. We are all equally gifted. Shut out the noise and listen to yourself deep within. There is something you are not paying attention to in a noisy world that tends to make something else out of you. Take control.
I must confess to you, there won’t ever be a time in your life when you will feel you are there because when you eventually get there, you will realize that there is no ‘there’ there. We all hurt. We all feel low at times and we all need somebody real to look up to.
I’m privileged to have you here. Our journey together in almost 10years on Twitter has been therapeutic and I can’t wait to see you all manifest and make Nigeria the most desirable nation in the world. We have it in us. Shine your light and brighten the path for others to follow.

Socialmedia can be a drug also. Don’t get intimidated by the Following, Followers, Retweets, tags and Likes. It’s all Vanity. If you allow it to get to you, you will be depressed when your expectations are not met or when you get knocked off the pyramid by a new kid on the block.
Matured folks on Twitter street will admonish that we be ourselves and stick to our message. Nothing beats being real, perspicacious, conscientious and consistent. Power belong to the people, so let them have their say. It costs nothing. Give back always. Care and listen.
The overlords of yesterday are whimpering in the crevices of the chasm now, over the wings against their soul. Self allotted power of this nature is ephemeral, slippery and often times doesn’t promise any voyeuristic endgame. We all can be wise and find Sonder.
