According to the iconography as mentioned in the Tantrasara, Bagulamukhi mata is depicted sitting over a golden throne amidst the ocean . Portrayed pulling the tongue of a demon with Her left hand while raising a club to strike the demon with Her right hand, Maa is associated with Yellow colour and this colour plays a pivotal role while worshipping Her.

In #hinduism Devi #Durga is a collective energy created by Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva to slay demon Mahisasur . Born fully grown and beautiful, Durga presents a fierce menacing form to her enemies.She is usually depicted riding a lion and with 8 or 10 arms. Each holding the special weapon of one of the gods, who gave them to her for her battle against the buffalo demon. Chakra in her 1st upper right hand symbolizes #dharma .

#Yamunotri dham forms one of the four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites , dedicated to mata Yamuna. The second most holy river of India, Yamuna originates at Yamunotri. It is the abode of goddess. The daughter of the Sun god, Surya and consciousness, Sangya the birthplace of the Yamuna is the #Champasar Glacier (4,421 m) just below the #Banderpoonch Mountain.The mountain adjacent to the river source is dedicated to her father, and is called Kalind Parvat.

भाद्रपद मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की चतुर्दशी को #अनंत चतुर्दशी का पर्व मनाया जाता है. चतुर्दशी के दिन भगवान विष्णु के अनंत रूपों की उपासना की जाती है.14 गांठों वाला रक्षा सूत्र बांह में बांधा जाता है. कहते हैं कि गांठे 14 लोकों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं. ऐसी मान्यता है कि जब पाण्डव जुए में अपना सारा राज-पाट हारकर वन में कष्ट भोग रहे थे, तब भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने उन्हें अनंत चतुर्दशी का व्रत करने की सलाह दी थी. धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर ने अपने भाइयों तथा द्रौपदी के साथ पूरे विधि-विधान से यह व्रत किया तथा अनंत सूत्र धारण किया.

In Union Territory of Ladakh lies #Zanskar, a remote valley, is an arid cold desert with deep gorges and glaciers. Located in the Trans Himalayan Ranges, it has plenty of copper deposits and therefore is popularly known as the ‘Valley of Copper’ . Zang means copper in the #Tibetan language. Lying South of the Indus valley and north of the Great Himalayan Range, this place is bordered by the drainage basins of the Stod, Zanskar, Lungnak, Tsarap and Kurgyak. It is famous for its many monasteries.

#Gorumara National Park is located in the #Dooars region of the Himalayan foothills of #West Bengal.
Jaldhaka a Tributary ofBrahmaputra flows just beside the National Park.
In 1949 it was given a status of a wild life sanctuary. Later on it was declared as National Park in 1994 Gorumara has mixed vegetation of forest & grassland. It is famous for its good population of One Horned Indian #Rhino.
It serves as one of the best places to explore for both animal and nature lovers. This national park is the home to almost 50 species of mammals,

The temples of #Barakar is a fine example of ancient temple architecture found in #West Bengal . A dusty & congested  town in the midst of coal mines, Barakar boasts of a surprisingly majestic group of stone-built medieval temples of SHIKHAR or REKH-DEUL style. The temple complex is known locally as “BEGUNIA” temples because of the similarity of the shapes of the temples with “BEGUN”(the fruit of the eggplant).There are altogether 4 temples in the complex. First two are typical REKH-DEUL style .

#Shri Ramkrishna Paramhansa, born Gadadhar Chattopadhyaya a 19th Century religious leader and reformer, who was a devotee of Maa #Kali.
He was a priest at the #Dakshineswar Kali Temple . For him, Kali was not a deity, she was a living reality. Ramakrishna’s consciousness was so crystallized that whatever form he wished became a reality for him. Maa Kali danced in front of him, she ate from his own hands, she came when he called, and she left him dripping with ecstasy.

The Ganga Dussehra is one of the most auspicious festivals in Hinduism. Mother descended to earth to purge the cursed souls of Bhagiratha's ancestors on this day ,she has the purity of heaven. Ganga Dussehra falls on the tenth day of the Shukla Paksha of Jyeshta month ,the festival is celebrated a day before the Nirjala Ekadashi.

#सनातन धर्म में #विद्यारंभ संस्कार
शुभ घड़ी में #कलम-दवात और #पटरी का पूजन करने के बाद ही प्रारंभ होती थी । पाठशाला में जब बच्चा प्रवेश लेता था तब दूधिया भरी दावात और #नरकट की बनी कलम होती थी। गांव में गड़ही और जलाशय के किनारे नरकट होता था। पका नरकट काटकर बच्चे खूबसूरत कलम गढ़ते थे। उसके उपरांत लकड़ी की काली पटरी पर सफेद दूधिया में कलम डूबो कर सुंदर लिखाई की जाती थी .
खास बात यह थी कि पांचवी कक्षा तक नरकट और कीरिच की कलम से लिखने के चलते लिखावट बेहद सुंदर होती थी।

#Pashupatinath mandir dedicated to Bhagwan #Shiva is one of the oldest in #Nepal.
The pagoda style temple stands tall on the banks of the river #Bagmati and has a history dating back to 400 AD. The temple complex is huge covering an area of 264 hectares. Inside the temple complex there are 518 different structures.
The main temple is an architectural masterpiece and features cubic constructions and wooden rafters.There are four main doors wrapped in silver sheets and the roof is made from copper with gold coating.

#तुलसीदासजी का जन्म संवत्‌ 1554 की श्रावण शुक्ल सप्तमी के दिन #सरयूपारीण #ब्राह्मण के परिवार में हुआ था
जन्मते समय बालक तुलसीदास रोए नहीं, किंतु उनके मुख से
#राम का शब्द निकला। उनके मुख में बत्तीसों दाँत मौजूद थे जिसे देखकर पिता अमंगल की शंका से भयभीत हो गए थे। तुलसीदास लगभग साढ़े पाँच वर्ष अनाथ हो गए थे। ऐसी मान्यता है #माता #पार्वती ब्राह्मणी का वेश धारण कर प्रतिदिन उसके पास जातीं और उसे अपने हाथों से भोजन करा जातीं। संवत्‌ 1561 माघ शुक्ल पंचमी श्री नरहरि ने उसका यज्ञोपवीत संस्कार कराया और उनका नाम #रामबोला रखा।
