You've found the start of another daily thread covering the war in #Ukraine.
It's the 251st thread since #Russia's illegal invasion.
The fight for sovereignty and freedom continues.
All the news & analysis in one place.
ICYMI, Monday's stories are here:
I'll start with a couple of curious updates from stories which broke yesterday...
First the case of one of #Russia's richest men who gave up his citizenship saying he couldn't be a part of a fascist country.
But Oleg Tinkov, who now lives in London, has since deleted this post
Next I am concerned about what's happening to the ships which left #Ukraine's ports yesterday despite #Russia suspending its agreement in grain export.
A flotilla of grain-laden vessels seem to have all turned off transponders, either continuing incognito or anchored off 🇺🇦coast
Today sees the new draft for #Russia's army, with newly signed up soldiers supposedly guaranteed not to be sent to #Ukraine.
Meanwhile the forcibly mobilised continue to be well treated! 100s in #Chita were kicked out of a camp into the freezing cold when the Governor visited:
Meanwhile in the very far east of #Russia, more complaints about mobilisation.
This report from Primorye says 3 times more people are mobilised than official figures suggest. Many wives and mothers also complain about illegal call-ups:

Back to the Black Sea and a thread I missed from the FT highlighting #Russia's theft from #Ukraine on the high seas and easy sanction busting
It's proven far too easy for this virtual 'piracy' to continue with the help of corrupt ports and officials.
Of course #Ukraine is already under attack again this morning.
In #Poltava the Head of the region, Dmytro Lunin says three drones have been shot down. However some locals report explosions which seemed more than air defences, and a fire has broken out on the ground:

It's a similar story in #Dnipro where drones were heard followed by some explosions.
Two reports of possible landings of enemy weapons, the first resulted in this fire

A couple of hours later another blast in #Dnipro...
This time a very loud explosion heard for miles around

In occupied #Kherson, looks like there's another attack on #Russia's police by The Resistance.
The invaders' parking lot at a police station in the north of the city is ablaze. Several vehicles have been destroyed with frequent blasts, presumably from fuel tanks:
#SlavaUkraini
Update from #Poltava just in after the attacks there this morning.
The Governor has now confirmed that FOUR attack drones have hit infrastructure in the city.
#StandWithUkraine #RussiaIsATerroristState
Update on the grain ships which left #Ukraine's south coast yesterday.
All's well thankfully.
Pleased to read this.
I didn't report the original story as it was in Newsweek which, like the New York Times, has become less than reliable.
#Finland #NATO
40 grads and rockets were fired on #Nikopol and satellite town #Marhanets overnight.
No injuries reported and a little less damage than usual.

Britain's daily Intel update includes a bonus graphic/photo!
#Russia has virtually annexed #Belarus and uses it as it wants.
#StopRussia #StopPutin
Unconfirmed reports that The Resistance has hit another traitor in #Donetsk region.
A nail bomb is said to have exploded outside a residential building in #Berdyansk
The "first deputy head for foreign policy" Pavel Ischuk was badly injured but survived.
Clearing up underway this morning in #Mykolaiv, another place hit by #Russia overnight.
S-300 missiles hit "an educational establishment" as well as a two-storey residential building.
No news of victims.
#RussiaIsATerroristState #SaveUkraine
#Kramatorsk was also hit.
14 rockets hit industry in the city in #Donetsk.
No victims here.

How Britain is helping protect #Ukraine from hackers. Nice report from Sky

Not to mention a lot of property has been outright stolen from Ukrainians forced to leave their homeland.

A 🇷🇺billionaire oligarch's home in #Amsterdam has been occupied by squatters.
Dutch protesters say they are against the war and against the greed of oligarchs.
The owner is Yandex founder Arkady Volezh. As he's sanctioned he cannot sell the property.

Zelenskyy happy with M. Macron today. Hasn't always been so!

In yesterday's thread I showed a video of a mass brawl involving new forcibly mobilised soldiers in #Kemerovo. Now news of another conflict in #Novosibirsk
Anger between local recruits & troops from Tuva, more fighting and now refusal to stay in #Berdsk

A horrible tale from #Kharkiv where a man, his pregnant wife and 4 year old daughter all died.
Police say the 47-year-old man took part of a Russian shell into his yard in #Loziv. He detonated the device (presumably accidentally) and the whole family died.
#StopRussia
I was speculating in a chat here yesterday that #Russia used so many missiles in the past week because they knew replacements would soon arrive from #Iran
Sadly - looks like I was right!

IAEA experts will tomorrow finish their inspection of #Ukraine nuclear sites where #Russia alleged they're making a dirty bomb. A report is expected to be published Thurs or Fri.
Meanwhile the #Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant is operating again after a landmine explosion there Sunday
A big #RussiaOnFire story to report from #Moscow.
The blaze is at a construction market in "New Moscow" - a special development area south of the centre. It covered 150 sq.m and has now been contained.
No injuries reported.
In #Donetsk quite a lot of activity this evening.
First to report in the Budennovsky district of the centre, a cafe caught fire. The reason is unknown.

In occupied #Volnavakha the armed forces of #Ukraine say they've hit a hotel populated with Chechen fighters.
The "Kadyrovites" were said to be staying at the Akhtamar hotel on the Mariupol-Donetsk highway.

Occupiers in #Donetsk also say two civilians died in shelling in #Blahodatne/#Blagodatnoe, which is just 20km from the border with #Russia.
The victims were both men, aged 40 and 60.
#StopRussia #DonetskIsUkraine
This news could be viewed as a similar sort of invented story that "allowed" #Russia to invade #Ukraine.
The Deputy Head of #Belarus' KGB, Ivan Tertel reportedly saying "The US 101st Airborne Division, which is planning to invade, has already arrived in Poland."
#SaveUkraine
In #Kherson region the traitor Russian-installed head of the region confirms forced evacuation of #Kakhovka will happen on Sunday.
Residents are told it's due to the "high level of military threat" and are urged to leave immediately.
#RussiansGoHome #KhersonIsUkraine
Also in #Donetsk a little earlier, #Ukraine accuses #Russia of using outlawed phosphorus munitions.
This happened in #Bakhmut where the invaders have failed to make ground in the last week.
#RussiaIsATerroristState
Noises of drones overhead in #Poltava and explosions in #Dnipro, though in the latter evidence of air defence having more success

⚡️BREAKING⚡️
There are strong rumours that #Ukraine has made a breakthrough in #Kherson.
A big land battle is said to be taking place near #Chornobaivka airport, just a few km from the city itself.
Unconfirmed
#SlavaUkraini
What we do know for certain is that another fire has broken out in #Kherson itself.
Cause unknown, but a strong blaze near the Ukraina supermarket in Shumen. The ceiling has already collapsed.
#KhersonIsUkraine #RussiansGoHome
I'm already think this is hype without real substance.
No other reports or chat but I cannot get hold of my contact in the #Kherson region. Just one Telegram channel. Let's stand this down until further info.
Artillery fire on #Nikopol and satellite towns again.
A strike on #Kremenchuk is again reported.
In #Dnipro, air defence looks to have been 100% successful.
#SaveUkraine #RussiaIsATerroristState
Plenty of noise over #Belgorod in #Russia tonight too.
Local officials saying air defence took down all rockets - but they usually say that anyway.
Here's one of many audio recordings from the city.

Sanctions don't apply for certain goods. For instance when #France needs a critical part for its nuclear fuel programme.
A 'magnet', built by #Russia's nuclear agency Rosatom, will become part of the world's largest nuclear fusion device.
