Brief history of Ali Banat

Ali Banat was born in Sydney, Australia in 1982

He was first diagnosed with stage 4 Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, then the bad news kept coming; it had spread throughout his body to his lungs and bones.

he denounced his previous life of material wealth and dedicated it to helping others

He was popularly known for taking the courage to change the bad news in the most positive way and took it as a “gift” from God

Ali created a project called MATW (Muslims Around The World) just three months after the diagnosis to assist those less fortunate in the poverty-stricken areas of Africa.

A year after the establishment his charity's bank account with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia was shut down

Ali Banat was quoted saying; "In my opinion the Commonwealth Bank have decided to close all our accounts because this is a Muslim charity working for the Muslim community,”.

Ali Banat also said he had millions go through the bank with his previous business but as soon as he starts a charity called Muslims Around The World his accounts get stopped and his EFTPOS machines are taken away from me,”.
