He was popularly known for taking the courage to change the bad news in the most positive way and took it as a “gift” from God

Ali created a project called MATW (Muslims Around The World) just three months after the diagnosis to assist those less fortunate in the poverty-stricken areas of Africa.

A year after the establishment his charity's bank account with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia was shut down

Ali Banat was quoted saying; "In my opinion the Commonwealth Bank have decided to close all our accounts because this is a Muslim charity working for the Muslim community,”.

Ali Banat also said he had millions go through the bank with his previous business but as soon as he starts a charity called Muslims Around The World his accounts get stopped and his EFTPOS machines are taken away from me,”.
