I am shocked reading Jonathan Arkush’s article. Jeremy Corbyn is not anti- Semitic, he does not hold anti- Semitic views. The examples Arkush uses do not evidence that he does. I cannot understand what Arkush is trying to achieve here but I know it isn’t about being constructive
There is a real problem to be dealt with, in the Labour Party and in society and, I must have said this a thousand times, accusations like he has made create hysteria that distract from the facts and the real fight against anti-semitism
Jonathan Arkush has never spoken for me, for many other young, progressive Jews, and he doesn’t in this article
We have a lot of work to take a lot of poison out of the debate/ campaigns/ arguments around Israel and Palestine, making blanket accusations isn’t constructive and doesn’t move towards a better debate or solutions
Ultimately, when I’ve faced Anti- Semitism and struggled with the ongoing fight, Jeremy has been an ally, @JennieGenSec has been an ally, my Labour comrades across the party have been allies. There is a huge coalition of people working towards a better party + country
The accusations aren’t true + my commitment to the Labour Party is unwavering. People outside the party, who only see the press can’t understand that but if they were in the local meetings + campaigns they’d see the most amazing people come together to fight for a better country
