Hard-left 'journalists' doing their bit to sweep #LabourAntisemitism under the carpet [thread]. Anyone who's studied history & political language will recognise the sinister echoes; I wonder how history will treat these attempts to rewrite the present #journalism #media
Skwawkbox:
"The Establishment and its media have continued to attempt to push as fact the idea that Labour has an ‘antisemitism problem’ – which says far more about the Establishment and its media than about Labour and its leader."
Also Skwawkbox:
"Theresa May just labelled every Labour member as someone who does not oppose antisemitism."
"Worst of all, she labelled every Jewish member."
"The media ignored it".
The Morning Star:
"The self-proclaimed 'leaders of British Jewry'
attempting to disinter bogus accusations that Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is somehow soft on anti-semitism do nothing but expose how threadbare is their pretension to speak for British Jews."
Also The Morning Star:
"Jewish socialists condemned two large 'unrepresentative' Jewish organisations today for their “flimsy accusations” of anti-semitism against Jeremy Corbyn."
Evolve Politics ["Truly independent news"]
"The Blairites accuse Corbyn of anti-Semitism, but it is precisely THEIR neo-liberal policies that cause racism and division"
Also Evolve Politics:
"The Jewish Voice Twitter Account is absolutely DESTROYING the media's latest Corbyn anti-semitism smear"
The Canary: "Luciana Berger reignited claims [?] that Corbyn had made comments about an allegedly antisemitic mural in 2012"

..and "Corbyn does indeed have a record to be proud of"
Another Angry Voice:
"We all know that these kinds of smears are intended as distraction tactics because the Tories have lost the argument completely when it comes to actual policies, so they resort to smears."
And again:
"...when they're feeling afraid because Jeremy Corbyn's centre-left policies are so popular, they use accusations of anti-Semitism against him to distract people from talking about policy."
And of course:
And:
And what happens when you're an MP and you attend a protest against anti-semitism? From Skwawkbox to @JWoodcockMP after attending #EnoughIsEnough
This week's Socialist Worker runs the headline, [note the order]: "Defend Corbyn, Freedom for Palestine, No to antisemitism".
Inside Socialist Worker asserts (1/2): "Parts of the Labour right describe the latest attacks on Jeremy Corbyn as a 'tipping point'. They say this is the moment that Jewish people stood up to antisemitism inside the Labour Party.
...(2/2)
"What they also mean is that this could be a tipping point in their fight against Corbyn and the resurgent left inside the party."
Still Socialist Worker:
"The people attacking Corbyn now are enemies of the anti-racist movement. They want to divide and weaken the left that has the best chance of building a movement that can challenge antisemitism."
Our old friend the Canary on 28.03.18 screams with the headline 'The bogus antisemitism smear against Jeremy Corbyn was just debunked in The Times of Israel'. Crudely pasted underneath the banner of the Times is the headline 'Jeremy Corbyn is an anti-racist, not an anti-Semite'
In fact this 'debunking' is on blog section of a ToI UK sister site caveated with "This post has been contributed by a third party...opinions, facts and any media content here are presented solely by the author, The Times of Israel assumes no responsibility for them."
Yet it was posted by Owen Jones, who said: "The attempts to smear Corbyn personally with anti-Semitism are also wholly false. Read this.."
And so on (Canary reporter)
