In pursuit to financial independence, you have to fight against your own self. If you are able to control your mindset and get the right style of investing, you will be comfortably placed. Repeating same mistakes again will only kill you.

All thru your investment journey, you will have smartest of people surrounded punching numbers on excel and giving you so called "fair value".

Businesses are not run on excel but by promoters with passion to deliver. Hits and misses will always be there.

If one is able to stay for 2 market cycles, the chances of him succeeding is 80-85%. Have seen people quit half way thru their journey with lots of pain & emotional tiredness.

Have not met anyone in last 12 yrs who has timed the market 3 straight times. One just can't predict bottom or top. If someone assures you of getting it right, just ignore him.! Never ever try to time mkts.

BTW, the first 2 is purely "luck" for him.

We are in an Era where info is avbl at a single click. Analyst can tell you how many cars are going out of a factory thru geo-positioning.

The only thing missing is to hold stocks for long term.

Too much information at times is dangerous.
