Late night thoughts on #babyloss the workplace and #FindingTheWords @SandsUK
There's been big steps in #KeepTalkingMH in the workplace that hasn't quite made the shift for #babyloss due to a pervasive stigma and taboo. #FindingTheWords
Even the phrase #babyloss is enough to cause issues let alone talking about the lives and deaths of our babies. #FindingTheWords
And they did live and not all of their stories are sad. #FindingTheWords
The issues we have around grief go deep and run throughout our lives so the idea that the workplace is out of bounds is nonsense #FindingTheWords
Going back to my awful customer service experience, difficult conversations at work aren't just about angry people. They can be sad ones too and they can also be difficult for the person listening to those stories #FindingTheWords
That's why the #FindingTheWords @SandsUK campaign is so important. Many of us spend so much time at work, more than our friends or families. Feeling supported and listened to can make a huge difference with such simple words.
#FindingTheWords isn't about the grand speeches or deep and meaningful attempts to console or fix anything.
#FindingTheWords It's creating space where the #babylost can have the opportunity to talk about their babies, say their names and share that memory with others.
