When I joined my first job as a Graduate Engineer Trainee, I did every possible task from lifting computer parts boxes, assembling them, testing them, working with certifying agency, then helping pack, and monitoring logistics, delivery.
In 45 days, I helped despatch various configuration of orders to 23+ cities across India. Never once did I complain this job isn't mine, we need somebody else to lift boxes, manage delivery consignments. It was an opportunity to learn more n more.
The reward, company gave me a salary hike in 2 months, gave an air ticket to fly from Chennai to Delhi. In early '90s it costed a lot. Air tickets weren't for trainees.
I got to handle customers from Rajasthan to North East in 4 years as CSE.
During that time, I met army unit bosses, company CEOs, VPs, steel plants' top officials, bank GMs, university faculty, etc, apart from numerous SMB owners. Each opportunity was a unique learning experience.
Had I said, I can't do this or this isn't my job, I won't have learnt so many things, running one man offices at many locations, for my company of over 600 cr turnover.
That experience helped me a lot when I got into software marketing, and later into product, project, program management roles. These experiences helped me build many innovative solutions, run them as services for banks, insurance, transportation, TV, print, gaming, telcos...
These customer facing experiences with people in various states of India, with so many enriching interactions with ordinary people, helped me grow.

I ran a few VC funded projects, in key roles, helped them grow, joined some top names in telecom services, ran new practices there.
I worked in advertising services industry, IT services, telecom VAS, gaming, big corporates, to small setups, to now growing my own business practice.
Had I said, I can't do this, this is not my job, I won't have learnt much.
I get to learn everyday something new from interaction with people. I do make mistakes. I generally trust people. I sometimes see that cause me hits. It's OK. It's one more lesson.

Life is the biggest teacher. Learning from others' mistakes is one of the smart learning methods.
I am willing to share. If you are willing to learn. I wish to help more startups, edupreneurs, teachers, and whoever wants to grow.

Our Finishing School Program will offer many of you an opportunity to learn, find a career path. Graduates of any stream are welcome to join.
