2 \ The Trump-Kim summit is historic in every possible way. It opens an opportunity for deescalation and stabilization of the Korean peninsula through dialogue and diplomacy in order to prevent war
3 \ If this summit leads to a denuclearization process in North Korea it would be a huge achievement. But even if it only opens up North Korea to the west and to the U.S. in some way - it will be good progress that will make the world safer
4 \ Obviously it is much too soon to open champagne bottles and the process should be advanced in a careful and vigilant manner. But it is not reasonable to reject what trump is doing out of hand. Especially if one prefers diplomacy over war
5 \ Trump's move in North Korea raises thoughts about possible dialogue with other rouge regimes in order to solve conflicts. Iran is an obvious example and Trump should be ready to do the same with Iran. But also with others like Hamas in Gaza. END
