"Submit your proposals here," says this form letter, but like, there's absolutely no info anywhere as to whether this event, with a prior history of pushing dubiously legal contracts and not paying a fair wage, is paying fair this time. [1/]
How do I know you won't steal my class proposals? How do I know you won't pick me, causing me to block off dates, and then send me a contract to pay me far, far less than minimum wage and tell me you don't insure the event and I'm liable if YOU cancel? [2/]
And what's sad is: there'll still be plenty of teachers, even reputable and skilled ones, who propose, because now, everyone's so used to this kind of bullying and everyone's so afraid to talk about it. Look, even I am not naming names. [3/]
