ICE is exploring the use of their facility near Los Fresnos, Texas to serve as a family reunification center, but only after their immigration case ends.

In the past the parents would've generally been released but the new policy systematically separates families caught crossing the border illegally until their immigration case is resolved which can take months or more than a year.
