Ya know, only a couple years ago a lot of us were looking around at the party thinking "Where are the rising stars? Where's the energy?"

We were like a baseball team with a lot of veterans but not a lot of rookie prospects.

Now we've got one heck of a bench.

I mean, I love our roster now. We've got grit and gravitas, experience and energy; seasoned players and emerging talents.

It feels like every few weeks we're getting introduced to some new breakthrough candidate. Some bright light rising to the moment.

I love what is happening all across the Dem caucus.

The breadth and depth of our roster now is worth stepping for a moment and really taking in...

Our lineup is diverse, articulate, passionate, energized... and growing.

We went from being pretty darn thin in the "future faces of the party" department to launching a generational transformation.

While we're all just pressing on with heads down, it really is worth stepping to the back of our virtual auditorium for a sec and surveying our team.

If even two years ago how long it would task us to build up this many exciting new candidates, nominees and electees, I probably would have said "5 years if...". At least five years if we could pull it off at all.

It's easy to get caught up in the game but sometimes ya gotta look down the bench.

I love our team. Love where it's going. Love where it will be even six months from now.

Talent wins... and we're crushing it in terms of talent development.

It's pretty damn impressive.
