So far on this camping trip I’ve finished a book chapter, written and submitted an op-ed, done a phone interview with CSM, an email interview with Teen Vogue, and an in-person interview with the Adirondack Daily Enterprise. This century is super weird.
(Also picnicking by Niagara, Cave of the Winds, hours of poker with the kids, read a bunch of a Stephen King novel, made and broke camp three times, ate hot dogs, wings, Frito pie, cheddar sandwiches with Branston, poutine...
...and one lobster roll, visited one National Park and four state parks, watched three squirt gun fights, made four fires, lost a day to a nasty flat but made a bunch of new friends in smalltown Maine as a result. Fireworks tonight, maybe. Four days left.)
Oh, and six or eight Judge John Hodgman eps in the car so far. And one protest march. And three trips to Wegman’s.
Some camp neighbors gave us steamed clams and then clamming supplies last night, so we went clam-digging this morning. Two gorgeous big clams (two!) steaming right now.
