Personally, no horrifying tales from me for caving.
But hiking, I can relate to climbing up slippery tracks and being lost.
I had climbed a few hills and mountains myself and the scariest so far would be in Bukit Perdana, Batu Pahat.

Went there being guided by an acquiantance who is a supposedly hiking pro.
Basically, we all went there after work, climbing at 515pm
Initial route up was tough as it had just rained & we went thru some slippery rocks. The rest area has a swing, a few hammocks &a Malaysian flag.

Halfway through, somebody decided to be cheeky and led us to another route after rest area.
Halfway through our hike, my friend declared "I think we are lost"
And we remembered the news about a couple of boys being lost and ended up in the news. Luckily the boys all survived.

And so we stopped and discussed it for awhile.
Awhile as in 10secs then we started hiking up and down imaginary tracks.
Whenever, we reached a fork, I suggested we go west all the way because going east would mean we would be stuck deep in the forest

After persisted for 1 hour plus, we managed to get back to a much familiar track &the sun was almost down
