Latest hearing in the Ms. L border separations case just ended. Of note: DOJ and ACLU lawyer agreed that taken together, the Ms. L reunification order and the Flores agreement do *not* mean parents get released if they refuse to waive participation in either class
That is: If a detained parent doesn't waive the right to be reunified with a child (Ms. L), and doesn't waive the child's right to release from detention after a certain period (Flores), that does not mean the parent gets released when the child must be released under Flores
