But I realize that's not important right now. I'm sure @RoanokeManager is working on something that's going to change the fortunes of the city. Maybe @RoanokeMayor has a plan. Be nice if the citizens knew about it.

The city property between these lots behind the railroad is used as a #hobohighway, and is 20 feet away from houses. There are encampments and more back there. Also hidden back there is a working farm with hunting stands for tresspassers.
Add to all this the beautiful buildings downtown that are vacant and crumbling. @RoanokeMayor, what's the economic development plan on this? Where is our marketing board, or film office? How can we effectively market the city if the citizens do a better job than the govt does?
And right in the midst of downtown, a white elephant now in the inexperienced hands of a non-profit.
This is our city, and we have been beaten enough that we have given up on trying to improve it.
