Asked if ERG's amendment on customs breaches UK's commitment to Irish backstop, Commission replies: 'We continue to be committed bona fide to finding a solution with our British partners on terms of December deal & within remit of unanimous mandate the 27 MS have given to us.'
Commission also asked about the Electoral Commission findings into Vote Leave today: 'Though we were not in charge of the electoral procedure during the referendum campaign, I think the situation is complicated enough without me making any further comments or judgements.'
