Looking forward to hearing what the world experts on anti-Semitism in the Labour Party come up with in their next iteration of the internationally recognised definition of anti-Semitism
Listening to that Labour Party guy on @BBCr4today earlier I can see how adopting the full definition of anti-Semitism could potentially cripple the party - so normal for people to call others in the pay of the zionists, dual loyalty etc. They would have thousands of cases
They are in a huge bind arent they? Accept the definition and have massive swathes of members (and senior figures) be caught in the disciplinary net or reject it and prove everyone’s point. What a nightmare for them, though self-inflicted

In the final para here @NickCohen4 suggests that under a Corbyn Labour government the Human Rights Act would be threatened as it places checks on governments... not sure about that! Certainly no signs of it in anything any Labour politician has said
I do get the point and also worry about some of the anti-dissent tendencies around Corbyn's movement. But whether a Corbyn government would go as far as unravelling the HRA which he and his colleagues have clearly supported, I doubt.

For many of us @LibDems, we left @UKLabour when they voted & took us into Iraq.
Now the Labour left make the argument that Labour is not the same party that it was with Blair, & because Corbyn voted against Iraq; all must be forgiven. The party should be allowed to start afresh.
Fair enough. But if this was the case, why was Tim Farron nailed to the tuition fees cross by Labour campaigners at the last election? He voted AGAINST Fees in the same way Corbyn voted against Iraq.

If you haven't heard @MikeSegalov on anti-semitism yet, his interviews for the #BBC and Momentum are well worth a listen
As Segalov makes clear, its right to say there are legitimate concerns regarding anti-semitism both across society & within Labour. A fringe element within Labour & most political parties = anti semitic. Also fair to say #antisemitism is being weaponised

(Thread) To all @UKLabour candidates in the upcoming May local elections:

Unfortunately I will not be able to vote for you as a representative of the Labour Party; this is despite having been a #Labour voter myself in the past. Please allow me to explain briefly my reasons why.
After the sacking of Owen Smith, I cannot vote for @UKLabour in any shape or form at the moment due to Jeremy Corybn's approach towards #Brexit which I view as highly undemocratic and contradictory to what the Labour party is meant to stand for ("for the many, not the few"?).
The attitude towards #Brexit by @jeremycorbyn and other hardcore Brexiteers like him really is now bordering on the fascist, something I find deeply disturbing. It seems that dissenters are being crushed.
