Maddow is wrong. The White House didn't edit a video or a transcript to remove a question posed to Putin. Nor did The Post, which had the same omissions.

Time to fire up my laptop, take a big sip of coffee from my mug that says "people always share true things they don't like as eagerly as false things that they do" and see what's happening on Twitter.
No matter where you move the goalposts, Maddow asserted that the White House edited the video. That clearly didn't happen.

And after asking that pointed question about the most obvious candidate for bolstering Ford's claims ... the Republicans began asking their own questions.
It's always safer to assume coincidence; clearly Graham (next up) wanted to spit fire. But the timing certainly didn't hurt Kavanaugh.
