My effort at a flowchart for Art.50, plus a re-up of what we know about revocation

1/
Key points are (or should be clear), but worth re-stating them again

2/
First, the fundamental decision in Art.50 has already been made, by the UK gvt in March 2017, when it submitted its notification to trigger the process

3/
This meant that the default outcome was a 'no-deal' exit in March 2019

Any other outcome requires an active decision otherwise

4/
That means 'no-deal' is never 'off the table', whatever anyone tells you

5/
Second biggie is that the UK cannot have any outcome other than 'no-deal' forced upon it, against its wishes

6/
Any deal, and any revocation, undoubtedly needs active UK approval

7/
Third, the same is almost true for the EU, although in absence of ECJ ruling, no-one is quite sure if unilateral revocation of Art.50 by UK is enough to stop the process

8/
Finally, these flow-charts say nothing about quality or nature of outcomes, just that each exists.

I'll let others pass comment on that aspect

9/
In sum, this is just what you needed to get you through the summer
