Please make a note that this UK Parliament select committee clearly defining the world standard for a rigorous investigation into Cambridge Analytica, Facebook, GSR, AIQ, etc. uncovering series of profound concerns. Compare with what we’ve seen from our committees in US Congress.
Feels like WaPo understates report and makes no effort to compare it to US probes. I always find it troubling and remarkable when articles like these don’t mention me. You’d think the US citizens rights angle would pop on this. Wasn’t reached for comment. washingtonpost.com/world/europe/b…
A US citizen is causing criminal prosecution and it’s mentioned in #100 and 101 of the report. The Post didn’t mention it in its coverage. 
My best guess is that reporters read these sections in the report and don’t extrapolate beyond a peculiar “area academic” to the 200M+ registered voters in the US who seem to have data rights in the UK from 2016 being enforced by the ICO.
