Remember the @McDonalds Monopoly game during the 90s?

This is why you were never able to find Boardwalk Ave. or Shortline Railroad… A mob boss hoarded all the winning game pieces for 12 years.

@McDonalds Some of the racketeered winners even appeared in McDonald’s commercials.

The guy named Jerry Columbo in this ad who won a Dodge Viper was actually a Sicilian-born mobster who used Monopoly winnings to finance various illegal businesses.
@McDonalds The woman in this McDonalds ad paid $40,000 cash to the aforementioned mobster for a $1 million Monopoly piece.

The FBI sting that ultimately took down the prize-trafficking ring was called “Operation Final Answer.” #IShitYouNot

Kudos to @JeffMaysh for writing this piece. It reads like a movie, down to the last cinematic detail.

For example: I didn’t know you could fit $70,000 into a McDonald’s bag. 💰

@McDonalds To all of you who said “This should be a movie,” @20thCenturyFox bought the film rights to the McDonald’s Monopoly story the week after it was published. (Ben Affleck is set to direct, with Matt Damon starring.)

Congrats to writer @JeffMaysh!
