Court has adjourned. We resume at 9:30 AM Friday with more testimony from tax preparer Philip Ayliff. Interesting bit: Ellis thanked everyone in the court for putting up with the long days at trial and the comprehensive nature of the case docs etc.
He acknowledged all the reporters who have shown up early and stay until the end. Then he said: "I'm not much for the press. I don't speak to them. But I believe the public should have access to this information."
He then said reporters work hard but don't always report accurately, though he clarified his statement right after. It wasn't meant to be disparaging as much as a point about how he values accuracy - for himself in this case - and for reporters.
