See, I like the structure: the huge collar, the multiple sleeves, the layering. I'm all about that. I like the color. I like the embroidery. I like the ermine. I think the problem is that it's all glommed together into a parody of tasteless wealth and power.

I may be in the minority when it comes to impeachment but although I do wish Trump gets impeached, I am not on board with that being the first thing Dems go after. Impeachment is only the first step. You then have the Senate trial & need 2/3 of the Senate for removal.
Looking at the Senate and what the GOP has done over the last two years & with the GOP still being in control of the Senate, how can anyone really think enough of the GOP would abandon Trump & vote to remove him? I don't see any brave GOP people like when it came to Nixon.
The only impeachment that I was alive for was with Bill Clinton and he was impeached but not removed and it seemed to have the opposite effect as far as his approval & people voting for him. In no way am I comparing Clinton to Trump, I'm only looking at the process & the effects.

At first glance, Dr. Ford didn't appear to be courageous. In fact, she didn't believe herself to be. But as a fellow survivor, I know how much it takes to be fearful and to do what one thinks is right regardless. This IS courage.

Okay, so, in this previous thread I unpacked a little of why Peter Parker finds Spider-Gwen impossibly aggravating.

Now, here's a thread about how Gwen's character arc, starting from her debut appearance, reflects a steadily increasing disdain for Pete
So, fresh out of Seanan McGuire's excellent Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider, we have this panel, which reflects the PRESENT state of Gwen's feelings about Peter Parker.

The Peter in this panel is not 616 Peter (indeed, he does not even love Gwen romantically) but she's pissed at him
(I'll explain a LITTLE of what's going on in this panel later on, but people should REALLY just read the comic. It came out on Wednesday. Buyyyy it.)

Anyway, no matter how you look at it, this is a REALLY abrupt departure for a character who regarded HER Peter Parker as a BFF.

Okay, last thread for me. I'm going to continue to talk about mental toughness, this time through the context of my experience captaining and coaching. It'll mostly be a story about @VoodooUltimate 's improvement over the past three seasons.
I've been lucky enough to be placed in leadership roles throughout my career in frisbee. Bragging - I'm a very outgoing person and I believe that I'm charismatic. More importantly, I'm intentional with what I do & how I do it, particularly with communication. I'm detail oriented.
I captained @gehultimate from 2009-2011 in my junior, senior, and fifth years. In 2012, I coached the team. Quick lesson from that experience - were we able to have strong success, but I should've had some time away from the team.

Okay. So. It's time once again for me to do that thing I do: a deep dive into Trump's state of the union speech.
For new followers who've tuned in since the last time I did this, bear in mind I am not a factchecker. That's a different (though related) skill set and best done by people with the training, resources, and editorial oversight that I don't have.
What I do have is a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career, skills that make me a nightmare for people who don't like long, reflective Twitter threads or believe it's possible to overthink something.
