I miss the days when an Alexander McQueen show was like snorting a fairy tale cut with shrooms, instead of Gallery Opening Goth.
Having just complained about the relative tameness of current McQueen, I like the wearability of this trench coat, which manages to be ordinary and dramatic at once.
you know those strawberry things that come in every bag of generic mixed candy
here is the wait staff at a restaurant where every cocktail is a collection of open bottles and someone fans their vapors in your direction

the appetizers are all cubes of soup

there are no dishes, just various fronds and hides

the table is edible

so is the chef
I admire this "literal fruit leather" theme that's developing but only conceptually
I really like this, but if you told me it's McQueen I wouldn't believe you.
Isn't this from that Cocteau movie where a guy makes out with the mouth on his hand
the universe has heard my plea for "couture sarcophagus" and I need this.
I am so bored.
Which I never, ever thought I'd say about McQueen.
I feel like this kind of thing was popular a few years ago. Actually, a lot of the collection seems like a step back. Not far enough to be vintage, just far enough to look out of date.
I'm so desperately uninterested in this that I have to wonder: is that the intended effect? I'm not even joking. Is McQueen starting a new revolution…of boredom?
I see someone has been watching the video for "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye feat. Kimbra
This isn't couture. This is barely even design. What the hell happened to McQueen.
OKAY NOW WE'RE TALKING, I hate it, but at least it's DOING SOMETHING.
okay honestly kind of here for Dockworker For The Good Ship Lollipop chic
yawn
the biggest problem with this collection is that most of it feels like it's been done before. Not done better, just done before.
ever since Disney bought the Muppets they've been going downhill.
I know it's a simple suit but that red is Powerful and I love it.
I'm not NOT into Dracula Chic.
YES I LOVE THESE YES THANK YOU MCQUEEN THANK YOU
The paint swash turning into fringe is at once elegant and dramatic, providing movement and interest without cluttering the sleek silhouette. It's not revolutionary, but like the trench coat earlier, it's simple and solid.
IT'S COVERED IN METALLIC EMBROIDERY I'LL TAKE THREE
Do you know how much I need this coat
Do you
I don't think you do.

A great end to an overall mediocre, boring collection.
