Hello, @ATTCares! Been a mobile customer for 10 years +. That's about to end. Want to tell you why. My wife and I needed new phones, so shopped around. Other mobile companies offered better rates and deals on new phones as incentives to switch. Great! Let's go.
But first: why not give you guys a chance to keep my business? Spoke to someone in your Loyalty Dept, she matched that offer, including a "Buy One Get One Free" (BOGO) promotion on new phones. I'd move my wife's number from her ATT account to mine, get a better rate, and BOGO!
I got this in writing, by the way. Moving on:
So got the info I needed to do this, called today to do the deal. Problems! They wouldn't honor the promised rate. But after talking to two different sales reps, we worked that out, confirmed the BOGO promotion, etc. Hour on the phone so far.
Finally, transferred to a fourth person, to do the BOGO deal. But: wouldn't honor it. Despite what I had been told by 3 (three) reps. So back again to Loyalty. Nope. "You'd rather lose my business than honor the offers repeatedly made to me?" Apparently yes.
They did offer to punish the first person who made the offer they wouldn't honor. But stay off her! Little joke there, to wrap this saga up.
