My take on this issue, similar to @psunster (Anaesthetic doctor) has described here. AS A DOCTOR, she shouldn’t be promoting discrimination on social media. Point 1 and 3, should be deleted. Let that be her personal opinion as a Muslim. 
She should use ‘as a Muslim’ instead of ‘as a doctor. Perhaps, she could have worded it better. First point, ‘As a doctor....’
I understand her good intention but based on Hippocratic Oath, you shouldn’t be making a prejudice statement against race, gender, sexual orientation etc. See below. I understand the constant battle -having to treat patients you probably disagree with on a regular basis.
Even though she stated that she treats all her patients equally, the whole entire letter indirectly screamed discrimination. You can be an activist against this community but please don’t use your hat as a doctor.
As a doctor, you treat everyone equally without such prejudice, without such statement which could cause further stigmatisation against this community. If you really want to help them, why push them away?
It’s the same thing when it comes to doing ‘dakwah’, if you start pouring harsh words on people, do you think they will listen to you? Point 8, I think it’s absolutely unnecessary, we are all sinners, does that mean we all have to leave planet earth?
Now, that’s my opinion and many doctors feel the same way too including Prof Adeeba, Professor of Infectious Disease in University Malaya. She is a very respectful doctor and she has done a lot of amazing work for HIV patients in Malaysia.
I’m very saddened with the way that she’s treated on social media.
This might be an unpopular opinion but that’s ok, I apologise if I have offended you but I’m writing this not for the sake of RTs or likes. You may disagree and that’s completely fine, you may hate me too, but I’m just doing my job as a doctor and as a human being.
My faith and my beliefs are something personal and I would like to keep that to myself.
