THREAD // How Do I Build Confidence If I'm Just Getting Started And Have No Clients, Case Studies, Testimonials or Results?

The same way you build confidence in other areas of life

By doing things REPEATEDLY and SUCCESSFULLY

This topic came up today in my coaching program...
The problem is that you're worrying about a future that hasn't arrived yet

"I don't know what the 1st step should be once we start working together"

"I don't know if I can deliver results"

Well you're putting the cart before the horse...
You need to focus on ONE thing and one thing only:

Revenue-generating activities that will put you in front of clients

🤑Applying to jobs on job boards

🤑Promoting yourself on social media

🤑Networking with business owners...
🤑 Cold emailing businesses on your prospecting list

🤑 Adding value to Facebook groups and social media conversations

You need to learn to trust the process

And you need to measure your activities

Because the numbers WON'T lie...
If you know one of your activities is to cold email FIVE businesses a day...

And you only cold emailed TWO...

Why?

Why didn't you do what you SAID you were going to do?

And how can you make sure you hit your goals tomorrow?
Once you start "getting your reps" in and hitting those daily goals again and again and again...

Your confidence will go up ⬆️

Now you're a man (or woman) of your word

Now you'll have the confidence that you can TRUST yourself to follow through

==> This is success <==
When you focus on the goals in FRONT of you, the RESULTS will take care of yourselves

But if your activities are inconsistent, they'll be reflected in your (lack of) results

I've made several changes this month

- 2 new niches sites
- 3 new VAs
- Cutting daily emails down to 3
- Increase focused on paid group coaching
- Updated positioning

And more..

But I don't consider them changes

The point is to continuously EVOLVE over time
A lot of young people and new business owners get stagnant

You're not consciously evolving or growing

It's not going to happen every day

And a year is too long for a meaningful feedback loop

But I'm sure you can make progress every single week

Yes - EVERY week
Birthdays are only once a year

New Year's is only once a year

Summer is only once a year

We like to think about our lives during these events

But they don't happen often

Shorter feedback loops will force you to grow faster

THREAD // Making Friends Is Easier Than You Think

Had a great time with @MyLatinLife @NomadicHustler and @_RobORourke at dinner last night

It's easy when you're in school

But a lot of people seem to have trouble making new friends as they get older
The school environment is conducive to friendship because you spend so much time together

You share classes, activities and meals together so it's easy to find your tribe

Because you're younger, your standards are also low

You haven't refined who you are and what you want
As you get older and finish school, you're not really forced to be anywhere except work (if you work in an office)

A lot of people struggle with making new friends because they don't SEEK OUT additional activities that put them in environments where they can make friends

What they don't realize is that by doing that they alienate people. #thread 👇
* When junior people see their managers as very strong, they might be scared to share their opinion
* When senior people see their managers as strong on things that don't make sense, they might think they're an idiot and not say anything
I think the best thing we can do with our teams is create a vulnerability based trust where we can be who we really are. We're never as strong as when we're ourselves.
