Thread about life and TTL incoming;

A lot of things have happened in the past 2 years. I got married, sold my house, moved twice bought a new house, moved a third time, started a new job, started a business, chose to continue working at my job while running the business,
gained new friends, made some scary financial decisions, made plans for the future, changed those plans accordingly, failed a few attempts of dieting, working on yet another attempt to lose weight, met some of my idols, and finally made it Gen Con for the first time in my life.
All of those things alone can be stressful, and yet my wife and I tried to cram all of that into two years. You know what? It's not that bad. We're happy, things are okay, and the business is doing well. Doing well enough in fact that I've been trying to weigh whether it's a
good idea to leave my full-time job in order to pursue more opportunities in the RPG world. I have scenarios I want to write, things I want to make, dice I want to design, people I want to meet, games I want to play in, and so much more. Yet, I look around and see so much
strife in people's lives. I complain and whine to my wife about making the decision of whether or not to leave my job while forgetting what a luxury that decision truly is. This community embraced us with open arms, and for that, I will be forever grateful. No matter what
happens with the business, I will always be thankful for this amazing community. That gratefulness is why we try to give back so much. We donate dice to schools and sponsor close to twenty different podcasts and creators, and I want to do more for them. More for this community.
I just don't know how. I've considered starting a non-profit that works to benefit school RPG groups since that is so close to our hearts. We've considered incorporating TTL so we can expand what we're offering and where in order to help more folks. I didn't realize until sitting
on the river this morning how good helping other folks made me feel. Especially when it's centered around a hobby I hold so dearly. Gaming gave me friends. It gave me the opportunity to be more than I am at an age when so many other things could have molded me into
something that I didn't want to become. I want to make sure that other children have the opportunity to delve into this wonderful world of role-playing games. For all of my life, I wanted to be a teacher. I have so much respect for what they do, what they put up with
and how willing they are to get up each day and do it again. Again, that's why we donate to school groups. Most teachers have to put their own money up to get supplies to their kids when it comes to things like this. I believe that the next evolution of TTL is not products but in
purpose. TTL is less than a year old. We started sales September first of 2017 and it has been a driving force in my everyday life. My wife and I talked recently about how when we started TTL we didn't have an end goal in mind. Now, I think I do. TTL will still sell dice
but I will strive to become more than that. The purpose and drive need to be on other people, in this community. I hope you will continue to join us on this journey. Here's to tomorrow, here's to TTL, and here's to the future of the RPG Community.
If you've read this far, thank you. It was a jumbled mess of thought but sometimes it helps to put it all out there so that you can rearrange it properly in your head.

Have a great rest of your week, take care of yourselves, and remember that you are amazing. Keep it up.
