Yesterday's panel at #CivicEntertainment event was such a blast!

They gave space to a journalist, an author, a playwriter, a film-maker and a YouTube Creator to basically go bonkers with ideas on how to increase civic engagement using entertainment.
Using entertainment as a vehicle to spread civic awareness has such crazy potential.

And it can only happen when diverse sets of people, with multiple skillsets, come together to ponder about ideas.
When you work in a niche space where experimental content is being created, there are times when a question pops into your head: "Am I crazy? Why would anyone even bother about this?"

Just by bringing a bunch of crazy people together, it's reassuring that there are others too!

This morning I've finished Scott Kellys (@StationCDRKelly) Book "Endurance" ( bit.ly/endurance-scot… ). Some thoughts below.
First, thank you Scott for sharing your story along with many personal insights from your time in space. It's great to learn more about the long path to become an astronaut and all the immense effort behind the human space program.
While reading Scotts book I got to understand the scale of the challenges coming with living and working in space better. It starts with having no gravity assisting you with daily life, keeping yourself healthy and alert for the hostile environment you are living in.

I had my 2nd interview today at #YouTube in San Bruno to be apart of their Trust & Safety team. My interview was at 1:35 and I would've arrived 15 mins early. I ended up stuck in traffic and missed it. I had a weird feeling waking up this morning, something kept bothering me.
And I wasn't nervous about the interview, it's that weird feeling in your gut that sticks with you until whatever it is that is bothering you happens that day, big or small. I still can't shake the feeling. I hope everyone pulls through who was hurt at #YouTube in San Bruno.
There are security checkpoints all over #YouTube campus with metal detectors in San Bruno. Whoever the shooter was had to be an employee with a badge.
