Election integrity groups and Georgia voters want a court to make the state temporarily swap out its paperless voting machines before the election.

Late Tuesday, Georgia election officials fired back, accusing the activists of "paranoia."

My story: subscriber.politicopro.com/cybersecurity/…
In their court filing subscriber.politicopro.com/f/?id=00000165… GA Secretary of State Brian Kemp and state election board members aggressively attacked the activists and the experts they cited.
"A theoretical possibility that a voting machine somewhere might be susceptible to tampering is outweighed by the State's legitimate interest in protecting its elections from the mad scramble that would certainly ensue if the Plaintiffs' motions were granted."
Fulton County filed its own reply subscriber.politicopro.com/f/?id=00000165… to the plaintiffs' request.

It argues that re-training poll workers to use paper-based systems "could have the unintended consequence of creating both security and accuracy concerns."
