Thread: A motivation towards excellence

I begin with the Name of Allaah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

A Muslim is programmed to always feel the need to improve himself no matter how much good he does.
The Prophet ﷺ who is an epitome of spirituality and great virtue is the role model of Muslims. The Sahabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) have set the standard for true religiosity and virtue that no Muslim on earth today can surpass them.
Understanding the above statement means, the Muslim will never feel that he has done enough, each step he takes towards righteousness, he sees the footprint of the Sahabah way ahead, thus he is motivated to strive for excellence.
In essence, we should never allow complacency to creep in, lest we become so confident of our efforts towards the deen thus loosing out completely in attaining excellence. Our best is not good enough to make us not to want to strive more.
"And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death)." Qur'an 15:99
