Increasing funding to make child care more affordable for Americans is one of our party’s top priorities and so I fought hard for this in the bipartisan budget deal that we crafted last year.
Democrats know that access to affordable child care means a great deal to America’s working families, and for far too long Congress has not done its part to help offset the costs. Democrats are fighting to change this.
While some in GOP suggest that trying to make child care more affordable is an undue burden on taxpayers, Democrats disagree. That's why we've made providing access to child care was one of our top priorities.
More must be done and Democrats are committed to working to give the American people a better deal on child care.
