🚨🚨THIS IS A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS 🚨🚨

If you are a top official in the White House, you don't get plaudits for privately saving the republic from an unfit president. THIS IS NOT AN OPTION.

YOU ARE EXPECTED TO TELL CONGRESS OR INVOKE THE 25TH AMENDMENT.
"The root of the problem is the president’s amorality. Anyone who works with him knows he is not moored to any discernible first principles that guide his decision making."

Dear lord.
"From the White House to executive branch departments and agencies, senior officials will privately admit their daily disbelief at the commander in chief’s comments and actions. Most are working to insulate their operations from his whims."

THIS IS NOT OK.
The Secretary of Defense is not supposed to be a warlord viceroy.

This is so unbelievable dangerous and frankly unconstitutional.
"The erratic behavior would be more concerning if it weren’t for unsung heroes in and around the White House."

NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO

This is not an option.
"Some of his aides have been cast as villains by the media. But in private, they have gone to great lengths to keep bad decisions contained to the West Wing, though they are clearly not always successful."
You don't get praise for keeping bad decisions in. You are supposed to get bad deciders out.
"It may be cold comfort in this chaotic era, but Americans should know that there are adults in the room. We fully recognize what is happening. And we are trying to do what’s right even when Donald Trump won’t."

I'm sure this op-ed is going to calm the paranoid president.
"The result is a two-track presidency."

THAT IS NOT A THING!!

ARTICLE 2 OF THE CONSTITUTION DOES NOT SPEAK OF A TWO-TRACK PRESIDENCY!!

👏 NOT 👏 AN 👏 OPTION 👏
"Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president...."

Go on....
"But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis. So we will do what we can to steer the administration in the right direction until — one way or another — it’s over."

NO! THAT IS NOT RIGHT! T̸̗̓H̴̡̚Ĭ̴̝S̷̯̄ IS THE CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS!!!!
I have not been on the rush-to-impeach-Trump bandwagon. But when a senior administration official says all this, even anonymously, it's a sign we're waaaay off the rails. There are two options here and babysitting and undermining the president aren't either of them.
Ok guys keep retweeting. Here's my Soundcloud: vote.gov
