If the Tories sack Theresa May before Thursday, they can get a new leader by November and they've got just enough time to hold a general election before we leave Europe.
If, however, the Tories wait longer than six days, Parliament breaks up again, so they can't get rid of May till November. Then they can't get a new leader till December, and with no majority, they'll be into an election just as we're getting kicked out of Europe.
The Tories are not going to win a general election next spring. They'll have put the country in such an obscene mess by then, they will never be rewarded with more seats. And any less, Corbyn become prime minister.
Now, the Tories have only got themselves to blame for this. A Corbyn government and the break up of the union. Only themselves, because I have been telling them for the last two years that it would end this way.
If the Tories choose not to take my advice, if they choose instead to surround themselves with comfortable stupidity, I can't help them.
