if you ever have to complain that sci-fi or a sci-fi sub genre has not explored enough ideas, or isn't exploring enough ideas, you have not read enough.
you CAN argue there's not enough currently popular, entertaining and well executed pieces exploring enough ideas.
but if that's the case, it's usually because there already is several previous entries talking about those ideas,
and the currently popular writers making entertaining and well executed, writers have all already wrote or read those things enough to not interest them to explore anymore.

And the ones who do you either have not read, aren't popular or don't entertain you.
Generally every question has been asked, in some way, and presented in as many sub genre as possible.

this doesn't mean every 'answer' given is good though.
but it often takes new writers, with-out knowledge of those old entries

and new writers with knowledge of those old entries and old greats.

and old writers re-invigorated by changing environments, and new writers

equally inspired to revisit those questions.
but if your argument boils down to everything in the sub-genre with a certain ascetic seams to much the same, its like just time for you to move on from that sub-genre.

because that's going to happen especially as a sub-genre slowly becomes more visible to the greater public
and its actually good thing that it does, it means less time spent on ascetic, and more on giving higher quality stories, deeper questions.
this brought to you by some one complaining about cyberpunks inherent ascetic, and not exploring the ideas that it has already done.
partially not realizing it had, and partially complaining it still wasn't even though there is many current entries in the genre that still is.
most likely because they where only aware of its more recent surface level entries, or annoyed at the sudden influx of entries instead of the smaller pool to sort through.

the tone was more the former, with a annoyed like the latter anyway.
so maybe the quicker answer is;

don't hate things just because they are popular, either embrace what it is now, add to it so its more, or avoid.

or just don't be a Hipster.
