Like everyone there, they didn’t know if they’d live or die. 3/
The thought process of having been shot but still knowing others are so much worse off - her strength and bravery blows me away 4/
Too many have sent texts like that, not knowing if they were saying their final goodbyes #Enough 5/
And she was considered a “low priority gunshot victim” and spent several hours separated from her husband 6/

Survivor guilt is very real 8/
Nothing will ever be the same 9/
My sister is one of many hundreds shot over the course of 10 minutes when they should’ve been having the time of their lives. There will be 58 empty seats and countless broken hearts at Thanksgiving this year. We shouldn’t have to live this way. 10/
So please, please think of my sister, my family, Las Vegas, Parkland, Sandy Hook, Santa Fe, Pulse, Tree of Life, of all the lives lost to preventable acts of gun violence and #VoteForOurLives - there are so many reasons to vote blue this year, make #EndGunViolence one of them 11/
Honor those lives stolen from us and those forever changed with action. I share my story to honor my sister and to lend a voice to those who have been forever silenced by gun violence. Let’s elect people committed to fighting for us.
