TTC CEO Rick Leary has sent a message to all transit agency employees stating "the suggestion" that the subway system "can be somehow easily transferred or uploaded is simply not the case."
The message is an apparent response to the story in the Star on Friday in which Metrolinx CEO Phil Verster asserted transferring ownership of the subway to the province would be "quite straightforward." thestar.com/news/gta/2018/…
The TTC declined to answer my questions about Verster's comments for that story, and instead referred me to city hall. But it appears Leary felt it necessary to stamp out the idea that an upload would be simple.
